What is Osteopathy?

Rather than only addressing symptoms, osteopaths focus on the whole body plus lifestyle factors. We search for the problem’s cause and develop individual management plans for immediate and long-term pain relief.

Theoretically, we can help the body to heal by itself when we realign bones and joints, correct restricted blood flow, and release the pressure on trapped nerves. We manipulate areas of your body, using our hands and various techniques, to enable the journey to your best health.

What does a consultation look like?

We have a discussion to get to know your symptoms and any lifestyle factors that could be contributing to your pain. We complete a thorough hands on movement based examination and explain your presentation to you so that we can create a treatment and management plan together that you understand. We use a wide variety of hands on manual therapy techniques to help alleviate your pain and help you align and shine.

Dr Chris Bell

Founder | Osteopath

Gday, I’m Chris. I was drawn to a career in healthcare initially because I was always fascinated by the interconnected nature of the human body and its resilience and adaptability. I chose a career in Osteopathy because it considers all systems of the body with its holistic approach to treatment and individualised patient care. I love what I do because I get to problem solve, chat to people all day and no two treatments are the same. I played a lot of sport growing up and as such had my fair share of injuries so I got to witness first-hand the impact Osteopathy can have in the treatment of acute and chronic pain.

During an Osteopathic placement at a hospital in India, I found huge satisfaction in helping people return to doing the things they love and improving their quality of life. This was the moment I fell in love with my profession.

For the last four years I’ve been travelling Australia taking healthcare to people in some of the most remote corners of the country. I love hearing people’s stories, learning from them and helping them with their aches and pain.

Outside the clinic you will find me teaching my son Louie all about nature, surfing, riding, walking our dog Ralph, gardening or planning our next weekend camping trip.
